The 7th World Bonsai Convention will be held in the Baosheng Park of Jintan Maoshan Scenic Area between September 25 and 27, 2013.
It is learned that the World Bonsai Friendship Federation (WBFF) was established in 1989, involving the memberships of more than 20 countries and regions including the United States, China, Japan, Australia, India, Mexico, etc. The World Bonsai Convention is held every four years, which is renowned as the "Olympic" in the bonsai world. 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the WBFF; therefore, a number of cities in the United States, Britain, Japan and other countries were in full bid for this session. On July 29, 2009, in Puerto Rico, the United States, the delegation of Jintan government and enterprises actively displayed the image and culture of the south of Yangtze River region in the representations, and finally won the bid with the 7:2 absolute advantage.
