On January 7, delegations of the fourth session of the 17th Changzhou Municipal People’s Congress held their general meetings.
In the afternoon, each delegation conveyed the important speech delivered by Chen Jinhu, secretary of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, at the conveners’ meeting. They also elected the head and deputy-heads of each delegation, as well as the head and deputy-heads of the subgroup leaders. Additionally, they discussed the draft agenda for the session, the draft list of the Presidium and Secretary-General, and the draft list of the Committee for the Review of Proposals. Each delegation also established a temporary Party branch and elected its temporary Party branch secretary, deputy secretary, and committee members.
In the evening, each delegation reviewed the draft election methods for the session, the proposed methods for approving the candidates for the Chairperson of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee and the Development Zone Committee of the 17th Changzhou Municipal People’s Congress, and the proposed methods for the voting procedure on the people’s livelihood projects.
