On February 3, it was learned from Jintan’s traffic management authority that the first section of the National Highway 233 has started construction, which remarks that Jintan will have access to the national route for the first time.
The National Highway 233 is a first-grade six-lane highway in both directions with a length of 39.52 km within the area of Jintan, passing through Zhiqian, Rulin, Yaotang and Jintan Economic Development Zone. Its total investment is about 1.643 billion yuan.
The first section starts from the Provincial Highway 340 to the West Yanzheng Road with a length of 8.1 km, which is expected to be completed by the end of July next year.
The National Highway 233 starts from Keshikten, Inner Mongolia to Huangshan, Anhui, passing through Lianyungang, Huai’an, Yangzhou, Zhenjiang, and so on.
