This year marks the establishment of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) which falls on August 1st.
The People’s Liberation Army of China was formed on August 1st, 1927. On June 30th, 1933, the first day of August was officially recognized as Army Day in China. As of today, the PLA consists of the air and naval as well as ground forces, and also engineering corps of China.
