During the Chinese New Year holiday, from January 28 to February 4, Changzhou's transportation network served over 5 million passengers. Changzhou Benniu International Airport reported a passenger throughput of 118,400, marking a 6.61% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Popular routes from the airport mainly connected major urban clusters like Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Chengdu-Chongqing, and Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Macao, as well as key tourist destinations such as Xi'an, Harbin, Changchun, Sanya, and Haikou. Routes to Guangzhou, Guiyang, Harbin, Xiamen, and Chongqing saw seat occupancy rates exceed 90%. The Changzhou-Tokyo international route also reported an average occupancy rate above 90% during the holiday period.

On the rail front, Changzhou's railway stations handled 345,800 passengers, while the bus network served 41,900. The city’s urban public transport system recorded over 2.4 million bus rides and more than 1.03 million subway trips. Additionally, taxis carried 273,400 passengers, and ride-hailing services completed 821,900 trips. The public bike-sharing system also saw heavy use, with 103,700 rentals per day.

Private car travel saw notable increases as well, with the city’s nine toll stations recording an average daily traffic of 101,500 vehicles, a 7.37% year-on-year rise. Notably, 452,900 small passenger vehicles (seven seats or fewer) were granted free passage, saving an estimated 22.12 million yuan in tolls. The Liyang toll station on National Highway 104 saw 19,968 vehicles pass through, with 17,258 enjoying toll-free passage, totaling a toll exemption of 172,580 yuan.

To ensure smooth and safe travel, Changzhou’s transportation personnel worked tirelessly throughout the holiday. Emergency response teams, staffed with 1,792 personnel, were on standby 24/7. Volunteers from the local transportation sector also provided assistance across key transportation hubs, including bus and train stations, highways, and ferry service areas, helping over 4,000 passengers and residents.
