Recently, Changzhou Kingcattle Abrasives Co., Ltd. and Changzhou Fangyuan Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. decided to co-invest tens of millions to set up a new business for straw recycling.
At present, the annual coal consumption of Kingcattle is about 3,000 tons. After the new project is launched, the company can consume about 1,500 tons of straws instead.
In Xixiashu, lawn planting has become the town’s special agricultural program, covering an area of over 700 mu (about 46.67 hectares), producing income of 8,000 yuan per mu for farmers. Not long ago, the town has co-established a new research institute for lawn planting with Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
Following the index of agricultural modernization, this year Changzhou has been vigorously promoting agricultural technology innovation, and has collected more than 1,000 technological achievements from domestic research institutes, which have been released to over 30 companies of the Changzhou Federation of Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation. The city has also carried out a number of agricultural UNISPAR programs in the development of tea seed oil, Taihu whitebait, pheromone traps for grain pest control, etc.
This year, Changzhou has implemented 35 projects supporting key agricultural technologies, and a number of leading agricultural enterprises have emerged in the city, such as Jialu, The First Farm, Lihua Husbandry, Chunhui Dairy, etc. Changzhou is ranked among the top three in agricultural technology progress throughout Jiangsu Province.
