On March 26, Changzhou Public Transport Group announced plans to construct two charging stations in the city. Operating under a unique model of independent management, third-party investment, and profit-sharing, these stations are poised to support sustainable urban transportation in Changzhou.
One station will be strategically located at the Wuyi Road Bus Depot in Jiangsu Changzhou Economic Zone, while the other will be situated at the Shanghai-Nanjing Riverside High-Speed Railway Wujin Station Bus Depot.
Once operational, these stations will not only serve the recharging needs of new energy buses but also reduce idle mileage and enhance overall electric vehicle efficiency. Expected to be completed by the end of June, the Wuyi Road Bus Depot charging station boasts a design capacity of 1,250 kilowatts, featuring five charging piles with ten connectors. This facility will adequately serve 28 new energy buses across 13 bus routes. Meanwhile, the Shanghai-Nanjing Riverside High-Speed Railway Wujin Station Bus Depot charging station, slated for completion and operation by May, will feature five 180-kilowatt charging piles with ten connectors. In addition to meeting the recharging needs of public buses, this station will also provide services for private vehicles.
This collaborative effort between Changzhou Public Transport Group and local energy companies underscores the city's dedication to promoting sustainable transportation solutions.
